RealSpine Advanced Spondy Posterior

Simulator for posterior lumbar decompression and stabilisation, L3 to S1, with spondylolisthesis, stenosis, dura mater and bleeding.

Present

Overview

Spondylolisthesis with stenosis is the case where decompressing is not enough: once there is room for the root, the spine has to be stabilised, and both happen in the same session.

Advanced Spondy Posterior reproduces that case from L3 to S1, with the spondylolisthesis at L4-L5 and the stenosis alongside it. Bone density and tissues are advanced simulation, and the same piece takes the open microscopic access, the tubular endoscopic one and the percutaneous one.

It belongs to the Advanced family, and that is where the difference lies: the dura opens and closes, bleeding is part of the procedure, and the field gets as dirty as it does in the room.

What the product brings

  • Spondylolisthesis with stenosis, L3 to S1. The case comes ready in the cartridge, with the anatomical landmarks in place.
  • Up to eight pedicle screws, across three disc levels. You can plan the whole construct on the same piece.
  • Extended disc coverage, L4/L5 to L3/S1. It is what this model has beyond Basic Spondy X.
  • Dura mater and bleeding. Closing the dura and controlling the bleeding are planned steps, not accidents.
  • Interchangeable cartridge. The piece changes between scenarios, and the base and the cover stay the same.
  • Straight into X-ray, or RealImaging with no radiation. The model works with the C-arm the institution already has, and does without one when there is none.
The bleeding comes from the equipment itself: the cartridge is connected to the base's fluid system.

About RealImaging

RealImaging is the REALISTS navigation system: a camera follows the instruments and returns, on the laptop screen, the equivalent of the C-arm image, with no radiation at all. The manufacturer lists it among this model's compatible technologies.

It is sold separately. On the models with irrigation, though, it is what makes the surgical access possible: without the image there is no way to check the trajectory inside the closed cartridge.
