Ortho SAFE was created for nerve block and infiltration of the musculoskeletal system. The larger-gauge versions take medication and dense substances, hyaluronic acid included, without demanding excess pressure.
The puncture system is stylet-free, and the extension is detachable: removing it frees the cannula hub to take a syringe or luer-lock connector directly. The operator decides whether to use the extension to keep their hands away from the field, or the cannula on its own, shorter and more direct.
The tip finishes in echogenic ripples, and the shaft carries depth markers, and the surgeon checks how deep they are without taking their eyes off the ultrasound screen.
According to INNPORT, batches go through quality control assessing dimensional aspects, finish, strength and function.
