RealSpine Basic SI
Sacroiliac joint fusion simulator, S1 to S3, radiolucent, for training the percutaneous route with X-ray or surgical navigation.
PresentOverview
The sacroiliac joint is small, deep, and hidden behind bony landmarks that shift with the pelvis. Whoever fixates that joint does not see the target: they infer the target from the image.
Basic SI reproduces the sacrum and the ilium from S1 to S3, with cancellous and cortical bone at distinct densities and with the roughness the drill meets. The access is percutaneous, lateral or posterior, and the image can come from X-ray, from external navigation or from RealImaging.
What changes between sessions is the anatomical cartridge, with disposable skin and muscle. The base and the cover are reusable, and the assembly straps to the table so it does not move during the procedure.
What the product brings
- Cancellous and cortical bone, each with its own density. It is what makes the drill and the screw respond one way in the cortex and another inside the bone.
- Radiolucent. The model barely shows on the image. That is what lets you follow the instrument on X-ray, the way it happens in surgery.
- Strapped to the table. The assembly stays stable during the gesture, which is the condition of the room and not of the bench.
- X-ray, external navigation or RealImaging. When no C-arm is available, RealImaging does the navigation with no radiation at all.
- Light, and ready to use straight out of the box. It is the simplest model in the line, and it goes wherever the team is.
