RealSpine Cervical Anterior

Simulator for ACDF and cervical arthroplasty by the anterior route, C3 to T1, with trachea, oesophagus, carotid and jugular in the way.

Present

Overview

On the anterior route the problem is not only the spine: it is getting to it. Between the skin and the vertebral body sit the carotid on one side, the trachea and oesophagus on the other, and the jugular along the way. The dissection that opens that corridor is half the procedure.

Cervical Anterior reproduces the whole corridor, in layers, from C3 to T1. Platysma, sternocleidomastoid, the infrahyoid muscles, the prevertebral fascia and the thyroid cartilage are in place, and so are the vertebral and carotid arteries.

One unit supports six corpectomies, five discectomies and five disc replacements. That changes the training arithmetic: the model does not run out at the first level, and a service can run a whole group on a single piece.

What the product brings

  • Six corpectomies, five discectomies and five disc replacements in a single unit. Cost per session drops because the model does not run out at the first level.
  • The structures that get in the way are there: trachea, oesophagus, thyroid cartilage, prevertebral fascia, carotid artery, vertebral artery and jugular vein.
  • Layered neck musculature (platysma, sternocleidomastoid, sternohyoid, sternothyroid and longus colli), which is what gives the dissection its steps.
  • Takes cage, spacer, plate and disc prosthesis, with external navigation and X-ray.
  • Reusable System COMPACT base: what gets replaced each session is the model, not the whole assembly.
System COMPACT baseThe base is reusable. What gets replaced for each session is the model.

What you can train on it

  1. Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion (ACDF)
  2. Anterior Cervical Corpectomy with fusion
  3. Cervical Artificial Disc Replacement (ADR)
